Kevin Martin

Kevin Martin serves in a variety of healthcare leadership roles across the country leading process and technology change.  He focuses predominantly on leading organizations with large technology changes while also providing strategic management consulting for executives.  His inclusive leadership style sets him apart because he is very effective working in a variety of settings. Whether it be speaking in a Board Room, leading cross-functional teams, or strategizing with physicians, Kevin is always able to find common ground to lead groups toward their goals.  The increased utilization and reliance on technology has changed the healthcare landscape and offered new opportunities for improved processes. Kevin remains at the forefront of this evolution helping health systems capitalize on the opportunities.

Recent engagements have included:

  • Interim Project Management Office (PMO) Director – led the redesign and interim support of the PMO at a large Integrated Delivery Network streamlining over 300 projects with a 3-year backlog to nearly 100 projects. The new design incorporated C-level decision making aligning the most strategic projects along with new levels of accountability and reporting.
  • Interim CIO – directed IT team supporting 30 clinics across 6 states through major EMR upgrade and implementation of population health reporting & analytics. Led the clinical and technical teams through true data integration combining payer and EHR data embedded within physician workflow influencing clinical decisions.
  • Data Analytics leader – utilized a proprietary Maestro approach teaching senior level leaders a six-step approach to analytics at multiple organizations. This design leveraged existing critical data projects for leaders to advance analytics across the organization in a more efficient and effective manner.

Kevin’s past experience includes time with two Fortune 100 companies, General Dynamics and General Electric, along with various Healthcare Consulting firms.  He has led teams in Europe and Asia while being responsible for budgets in excess of $20 million.  He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, a Master of Health Informatics from University of South Florida, and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University.  Additionally, Kevin is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Certified Professional in Health Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS).
