Michael Mytych has over 35 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, with 25 years in health care information technology and informatics consulting.  Twelve years were spent in the commercial sector in Sales and Sales Executive Leadership with vendors such as Abbott Labs, McDonnell Douglas, Data Care and Baxter.

Mr. Mytych is a nationally recognized healthcare consultant with an extensive background in health care IT.   In December 2015, he was named a “Top 50 Healthcare IT Expert” by Health Data Management Magazine.

He is a specialist in clinical systems and has been a frequent speaker across the U.S. on care coordination and health information exchange. His pragmatic approach places a strong emphasis on physician acceptance, efficient workflows, and consumer centric methods for care management that drive quality, safety, and consumer/patient satisfaction. He has conducted over 100 vendor selections evaluating almost all major HIT vendors for both health systems / hospitals and physician clinics. Specialty projects and expertise include, Cardiology, Cancer Treatment Informatics, Transplant Medicine, Renal Dialysis and work at the National Bone Marrow Registry. He is a strategic advisor and frequent speaker for the American College of Cardiology subsidiary company, MedAxiom.

Mr. Mytych has a strong background in healthcare data exchange and interoperability. He has worked on over 30 private and public Health Information Exchange initiatives including those in North Carolina, Memphis, New York, Chicago, San Diego, Louisiana, Minneapolis, Wisconsin and numerous private exchanges. He has significant experience with leading edge solutions that serve employer based on-site/near site care and consumer health and wellness.

He has worked as an advisor to major corporations, investment research firms, private equity and VC’s providing due diligence on M&A, product design and differentiation, positioning, value proposition and company sales validation. He has participated in several “Shark Tank” evaluations of new product entries.  Commercial Services have also included conducting custom educational programs for vendors and investors.

Mr. Mytych has a clinical background in pharmacy.  He holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Dubuque in Economics and MBA from Marquette University.  Mr. Mytych also held an Adjunct Faculty position at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in the Master’s Program for Healthcare Informatics where he has taught Healthcare IT procurement for ten years.
